Welcome Aussies!
This group is for Australians who'd like to socialise over a BBQ, meet up for pub lunches, visit museums and galleries, catch a film, take a day trip...we're open to suggestions!
Unless you're frequenting the Reddy or one of the numerous Walkies, you may not have a group of mates from home who you regularly keep in touch with.
It's rewarding meeting people from all over the world. . . but it's still nice to hang out occasionally with people who have the same cultural reference points as you (and don't flinch when you mention wearing your thongs!).
I hope this 'meetup' group will provide the opportunity to meet fellow Aussies and socialise in a relaxed environment, whilst appreciating everything our temporary or adopted home has to offer!
