Melbourne Cup Celebration at Australia House (2007)
Meeting Description
Details
***UPDATE***
We'll meet at the Cinnamon Bar at 6.00pm and make our way to Australia House at 6.30pm. That will give us enough time to have a G&T and ooh and ahh over frocks (and suits!) and get on our way!
Cinnamon Bar
1 Aldwych,
London,
WC2B 4RH
It's right on the circle-bit of the Strand (actually called Aldwych - oops! my bad), and is quite close to Australia House. A lot of tube stops are nearby, eg Covent Garden, Holborn and Temple.
See you there if I don't see you at the Guy Fawkes night first!

Aussie Expat Meetup Group members in London are invited to celebrate our favourite horse race with our friends and colleagues from Australian Business for their Melbourne Cup Reception at Australia House.
The Emirates Melbourne Cup is more than just a horse race. It is Australia's premier sporting, corporate and social event and a tradition that's been running for over 145 years. It literally brings Australia to a standstill. The race draws competitors from all over the world with the annual invasion of northern hemisphere-trained stayers making it a truly international event. The Emirates Melbourne Cup now attracts a worldwide television audience of around 700 million people in 120 countries and territories while millions more either view or listen to the event via the internet.
This invite has come from the Australian Business Council through Advance Australia.
