From April 24 to May 8, 2008, the 51st San Francisco International Film Festival will bring the world to San Francisco by screening over 100 unique programs of the finest in international cinema. The Festival will celebrate international cinema, spotlight local film culture, showcase advances in film technology, educate Bay Area youth and throw spectacular, star-studded events. In short, the Festival will be a complete blast!
This year, the Festival is proud to present several films from Australia and we would love for Expats and their friends such as yourselves to attend. The Festival will screen the following Australian films: FORBIDDEN LIE$ by Director Anna Broinowski: Best-selling author Norma Khouri is exposed as a fraud, but where is the line between truth and fiction? GLASS: A PORTRAIT OF PHILIP IN TWELVE PARTS by Director Scott Hicks: Through interviews with Philip Glass?s friends, family and collaborators as well as glimpses of his professional and personal life, this engaging documentary paints a fascinating portrait of one of the world?s most famous and controversial composers.
