 Independent Women\n\nWe're finally going to do it-- but I need $$ in advanc
 e to hold our spot.  We'll be at Metro Rock\, for those who are new to clim
 bing we'll have a learn to climb class.  For those who've done it before\, 
 you can take the safety test and begin to climb!  \n\nClass information is 
 below:\nINDOOR -- Learn to Climb\n\nThe Learn to Climb course is a comprehe
 nsive introduction to indoor climbing. It starts with the same material inc
 luded in the Basic Safety course\, but adds technique\, climbing practice\,
  and personalized feedback on each student?s climbing skills. The overall c
 ourse teaches:\n\n    * Equipment: how to use a harness and belay device\n 
    * Knots: tying in with a figure 8 follow-through\, plus a fisherman?s ba
 ckup\n    * Belaying: using a locking carabiner and ATC to confidently keep
  your climbing partner safe\n    * Commands: how to communicate with your c
 limbing partner\n    * Bouldering: have fun staying close to the ground\n  
   * Technique: using balance\, flexibility\, and strength to move up a face
  \n\nAfter taking this course\, most students can safely pass the MetroRock
  belay check\, necessary to climb in the gym.\n\nWhen: The Learn to Climb C
 ourse is taught weekend mornings from 9:00am - noon (allow time before the 
 course to register\, sign a waiver\, etc.). For groups of 4 or more\, this 
 course can be taught other times on request ? contact us for more informati
 on.\n\nReservations: required.\n\nCost: $65. ( or 67 through pay pay)  Incl
 udes admission to the gym and gear on the day of the course\, plus a Day Pa
 ss\, good for admission to the gym and equipment rental on your next visit.
