Thanks for the good response to this meetup. It should be a fun night with about 12-18 people planning to attend.
This first meetup is at an Irish Pub in Carlsbad Village called Hennessey's Tavern. Its a pretty laid back place and offers snacks and meals as well as drinks. Their website is http://www.hennesseys...
I dropped in on Friday March 14th to see if it was very busy and there were only a few people around so I think we will have plenty of room and the outdoor area around the fire pits is not too noisy.
From I-5 take Carlsbad Village Drive (exit #50) west and then turn right onto Roosevelt (fourth street in from freeway) and go down about a 1/2 Km (across Grand Ave) and its on the west side of the street. Parking can be a pain in that area but there is a public car park at the corner of Carlsbad Village Drive and Roosevelt that is within walking distance and usually has plenty of parking.
Hennessey's is almost right across from the Carlsbad post office and is pretty easy to find with an Irish and American flag flying out front. Look for me at the front of the tavern (outside) around the firepit to the right just as you come in. I'll be the dag in an Aussie t-shirt. I'll probably get there by 6:45 pm.
