Ah yes everyone, you know what I'm talking about. Australia Day is very soon! We're going to celebrate our national holiday - our very own 'Quatorze Juillet' (except en Janvier) - à Paris!
This month we'll be gathering on our special day for drinks at Cafe Oz from 8pm. We decided this would be the most appropriate venue for the occasion because its the only bar in Paris where you can be totally surrounded by Australiana while you sink a VB or a Crownie! (if only they exported Little Creatures...)
So come along and have a few drinks with your fellow Aussies (non-Aussie friends are of course more than welcome!), wear your national colours / dress, see if you can get your hands on some tim-tams to share, and get nostalgic and try to teach some French people the national anthem (the 'vegemite sandwich' one of course!).
Sorry if I got people's hopes up re free beer - the management have big plans for the night apparently (well it was worth a try, plus it got your attention! ;-) - however we have managed to wangle some free shots for slightly later on in the evening...
In any case anyway it should be a little rippa of a night! If you haven't RSVPed already please do so, and we'll see you all on Thursday 26th at Cafe Oz!
