Ok everyone, it's been quite a while since our last evening that was purely a drinks/social event, but now that there's no more big sporting events in our near future (and no, I don't want to talk about it...) to turn into group meetups, we've decided it's high time for another of our pub nights!
The venue choice has been made and this time it's a newie for the group: Rula Bula on rue Faubourg Saint Antoine near Bastille - it's a huge Irish pub with a pretty funky fitout. We'll have VIP prices available to us (5.50 beers and cocktails I understand) and on Thursday nights they have a DJ playing some choice tunes after 9pm.
So it's all set for a top evening - if you haven't already done so, make sure you whack Thursday the 25th of October 8pm in the diary and plan to come along for some drinks with old faces, and hopefully lots of new faces too! - after all as I said it's been ages and there are lots of new group members since the last pub night, and it's always hard to get to know people while everyone is crowded around yelling at the big screen!

"Initially Tamsin, Andrew and Alex welcomed me and then I spoke to 2 attractive women and a man who was wearing a suit and works in the environmental sphere. I can't remember their names. We were all having a great conversation. Then the music was turned on and that spoiled a good night out. It was so inappropriate as I could not hear anyone speaking and there was nowhere to dance."

"It was good fun and a good turn out (possibly the move to a new venue encouraged more members to come out). Some new faces and nice ambiance. The narrow layout of Rula Bula meant everybody was quite close together and more inclined to mingle. "
