Happy New Year to all...and as we start a new year, that can mean only one thing: Australia Day is LOOMING. And with that, comes our Australia Day Meetup!
It's hard to find a better place to celebrate Australia Day in Paris than from the inside of an Aussie pub with oz beer, people and tunes, and this year we'll be celebrating at the newly opened Cafe Oz on the Grands Boulevards just down from the Musée Grévin (opposite the big Virgin Megastore / adjacent to the irish pubs O'Sullivans and Corcorans).
Kick off will be when you get there (or from 19h30).
The Cafe Oz pubs normally charge door entry on weekends but we have arranged free entry for Meetup members...so the password to gain free entry on the night is "Any chance of getting a drink around here? I'm as dry as a dead dingo's donger!" (so note it down! otherwise you could end up paying 10 euros to get in!).
We will be located towards the front of the pub (to the right as you enter) and we will have a big red Meetup poster on the wall near us.

"We had the best time and would really like to thank the Café Oz folks for their hard work and for making it a fun environment. The folks at the bar and those clearing glasses were great! My only dissappointment is around the music. We found that around 1:30 - 2 AM, the music really changed and so did the atmosphere, it turned into another Paris nightclub so lost its unique feel. There was no Australian music being played, etc. " -

"There was no sign to locate other meetup members, which was very disappointing. Your silly password was greeted by some gay frenchman at the door saying "I don't speak english". It needs better organisation."
