Hi Camille,
I've never seen one. There are a couple of 'British' shops around République including one on the canal, and the Au Bon Marché department store has a big selection of overseas foods I believe, but no dedicated aussie shop. You thinking about starting one up? Paul |

Hi,
I think there's one on rue Servandoni in between St Sulpice and the Luxembourg gardens, it's on the same street as an antipodean travel agent and Kiwi Corner. Andrew |

As far as I know, the one on Rue Servandoni is the ONLY one in Paris.
...I went to the nearby Kiwi Corner Restaurant with a french friend (who wanted to eat Kangaroo...). The restaurant is really good - slightly pricey (especially the wine), but it was nice to eat something from home. I had never seen sticky date pudding though with chocs chips and nuts on top. Clearly a French influence??! |

I am dating a french guy and you should of seen the look on his face when I suggested kangaroo, so now I know where to take him out next week. I figure it is easy for me to get him to eat kangaroo because I am sick of explaining the concept of skippy to him, so now I can just point at the plate and say skippy.
I now spend 2 weeks a month in Paris with the aim of moving on a perm basis in December, I am just getting slightly annoyed with paying £5 for a pack of tim tams and £2 for a violet crumble. Thanks heaps for the response, very helpful. Edited by camille on Apr 3, 2008 6:32 PM |

as far as I know, the Kiwi/Oz shop at rue Servandoni http://www.australian...
you might be able to find Aussie goods in strange places - for example, - some of the indian supermarkets up near Gare du Nord stock random Australian products - the american grocery stores sometimes keep vegemite (but again, very expensive) best option is often to wait until you or a friend is going to london and have them do a run to the Australia Shop at covent garden, and in a local Tesco |

Yes I am so dying for some vegemite! My mum sent me a jar last year and I literally ate the whole jar with a spoon in one day. Yep I was missing home a lot!!!!
I love french food so much, I find it easier just to go with the flow of it, although I am sure to stuff myself with white sandwhich bread and vegemite, sausages and chops with tomato sauce when I get some hehehe Wow I am so excited to meet you guys soon, its been too long without any Aussie contact! light and love to all Lucy |
