AustraUSA Los Angeles, CA 56th Post	Due to tickets being sold out last time, we are unable to hold unpaid reservations. When: Sunday, August 26, 2007, 11:00 AM 2007 Where: Log into our EVENT PORTAL on meetup or visit our public webiste AustraLA Events by the end of the week to see the new AUSSIE BBQ page which will have all the info. WHAT? Traditional Aussie BBQ - BYO FOOD AND DRINK (we will provide some soft drinks / bottled water and will fire up the BBQ's too) - Please note that BBQ's may be banned due to fire danger and we will need to check this closer to the day Treasure hunt and lots of prizes for kids. COMPETITIONS: Egg and Spoon Race Best Dressed Aussie Best Aussie Accent (for non Aussies only) Peter Garrett Dance OFF Kookaburra Call PRIZES FOR EVERY COMPETITION WINNER RAFFLE PRIZES (free raffle ticket included with entry - additional tix $1 ea) GROUP DIDGERIDOO LESSON (didges provided) Park also has several play areas for kids - including one large area with rubber flooring. LA parks have a no alcohol rule. And please - no pets. There is also an indoor swimming pool - approx $2 per person if you wish to use it. What should you bring? BYO FOOD AND DRINK Picnic chairs (there are fixed picninc tables and benches there but not in shaded areas) Picnic tables Picnic rug Suncreen Sunglasses Sunhat (remember our slip slop slap ads?) Footy Cricket Set Aussie clothes for aussie competiton (can be as flamboyant as a Dame Edna or as steroetypical as a Croc Hunter outfit!) AustraUSA Los Angeles, CA 73rd Post	The Barbie is still 2 months away but there are only 26 tickets left. We have people coming from all over California and some inter-staters as well.
