Unreal new Aussie owned restaurant/wine bar in San Fran

When you are in San Francisco, make sure you check out the latest and greatest Aussie-owned restaurant in the States, "South" at 4th & Townsend.

The Aussie owners are none other than international uber-chef Luke Mangan, and my mega-maven buddy, Liz O'Connell.

South is a contemporary restaurant + wine bar showcasing the best of food
and wine from Australia and New Zealand. The menu reflects Chef/Owner Luke
Mangan's signature style, characterized as "ModOz" by the Australian
culinary community. ModOz marries fresh, bold flavors with southern
hemisphere staples like New Zealand lamb with mint pesto, Barramundi sashimi
with curry spices and lime and (of course) BBQ prawns with mango salsa.
South's wine list highlights boutique and family-owned wineries chosen to
showcase regionality. The list is comprised exclusively of wine from
Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. South's interior by was created
with antipodean ambience in mind. Highlights include a 16-foot Australian
jarrah communal table and Moari inspired custom tile.
